Kristin!! That's wonderful news about your book! I would have written sooner but it's the beginning of the holidays here and has been pretty crazy! Now they have to bring you to Alaska for a book tour. Our local city library is always having authors give talks. Also, you might contact the Island Institute here in Sitka, http://home.gci.net/~island/index.htm
They have at least 4 authors a year come to Sitka for a month to write and study and as part of the deal, make a few public presentations. Click on the Resident Fellows tab when you get to the site.
Looks like you were having a warm and wonderful time in Italy! Kara certainly enjoyed her trip there. So many places to go and see and do! If you investigate the Resident fellowship, let me know I know the folks who run it and I'd be happy to put in a word for you. Do you have a publication date?
Snow every where but this afternoon we started getting rain-tonight a mixture..This is way too early for this much snow-more than I remember for this time of year in the last 42 years!
